ACADEMICS FIRST
We believe that our core purpose, “To enable Students realize their potential and make their dreams come true”, can be achieved by putting Academics First. By Academics First, we focus on excellence and in demonstrable performance by our students and staff. We seek excellence in everything that we do and the chief activity of the School being Academics, we seek nothing but the best in academic performance. This is bolstered by our core values, namely Risk Taking, Openness, Ownership, Honesty, and Commitment to students and Innovation. It is not a matter of surprise that our core purpose applies not only to our main work in the classrooms, but also to how we manage, behave, communicate and interact outside the classrooms. Our curriculum is created to be consistent with the philosophy embedded in our core purpose and core values. We work towards these values being taught, instilled and reinforced in the classroom, in our classroom management practices, and in our conduct outside the classroom.
TOP TALENT TEACHERS
As it is said, any school is as good or bad as its teachers. We are conscious of the fact that it is the teacher that makes or breaks a school. At St. Joseph’s School, we ensure that our teachers are well qualified in all manners (having a degree is necessary but not a sufficient condition for a teacher to join St. Joseph’s School). We follow a rigorous selection process that involves understanding and application of pedagogy, curriculum design and delivery, classroom management, use of technology, leadership and teamwork, child psychology, human psychology and sell – development.

Every year, there is a student outbound planned for students at St. Joseph’s School. It provides several life lessons in a relatively short period of time. Normally, student outbounds are hectic and at the same time fun-filled set of activities where students learn through adventure activities, experiential learning, and discussions in a safe and supportive environment. It results in unearthing the leader in each student.
St. Joseph’s School follows the concept of learning by doing and taking responsibility of own learning from early age. Hence, the concept of Student Led Conference (SLC) works well at the School. In each Student Led Conference, the students present the summary of learnings in the previous quarter or so and demonstrate through a variety of materials the progress made by them in the recent past. The key aspect determining the success of the students or the SLC is through preparation. SLC is a great initiative for our students to develop in-depth understanding or concepts and topics and develop self-confidence and presentation skills.

- We use smart planning and cross utilisation of resources for getting more out of less.
- While planning any activity, we take cost of the activity in mind and carry out a detailed cost benefit analysis.
- St. Joseph’s School being a national chain, there are a lot of resources that we use across locations.
